A Walk in the Rain

As we were sitting down at the table eating our dinner (Pizza Hut!), it was raining. I was really excited to finish my dinner and go out to get some shots of the raindrops on the flower petals and whatever else I could find. My mom looks out the window and tells us that it's raining and the sun was shining! I instantly thought that had to mean there was a rainbow somewhere! I got up from my dinner, grabbed my [new] camera and an umbrella, and raced outside. I started to walk down our street to where the sun was shining. The farther I got down the sidewalk, the more the sun beamed on me. I still didn't see any trace of a rainbow. Once I got to the end of our street, I walked back, a little disappointed, but still searching in the sky. Sure enough I found one!! Besides the fact that there are power lines in the shot, I'm really happy I was able to take some photos of it, let alone find one. God uses rainbows as a reminder that He is still with us; I love that! Even though He continues to bless us everyday and answer prayers, He still reminds us in another beautiful way that He's still here.
