Today is the first day of spring! I'm loving the beautiful, warm weather with the buds covering tree branches and birds chirping free from their hibernating state. Praise the Lord for His magnificent creations!

I love it when I learn how to do something new on or with my camera and last night I found a sepia setting on my camera along with others! Furthermore, I spent half the night taking pictures with it and of course my cats were the Ginny pigs. J

I'm starting to realize that all my "Simple Pleasures" post are food. haha But what can I say? I love to eat!

This obviously ice cream, but do you know what that means? Ice cream means summer! At least at our house it does. My dad buys ice cream for us when the weather gets warmer and we can stay up later. Of course school isn't out yet for me, but this just foreshadows of what is to come! I can't wait for summer, let's just leave it at that. Getting back to my "simple pleasure", my mom, Nate, and I eat ice cream in the evening (when my dad buys it) and we just sit down and relax by watching TV or just sitting on the porch. So I suppose that the ice cream is not the only thing here that makes me feel happy, but just the relaxation that comes with eating it. And summer too of course! 

So I hope this summer or just this week, you will be able to enjoy your "simple pleasures" a little bit more by realizing why they are just so special to you instead of taking an advantage of them. From riding my bike to washing dishes with Nate, these are the simple things that let me be me. I wish the same for you!

For my birthday, my mom and I made strawberry cake(my favorite) with orange icing to coat it, which is my favorite color. As simple as the cake was, I loved it!

As you can tell, I loved taking pictures of the cake...it was almost as good as eating it.
