Art Inspired

In the art room at school, I've come to learn that you never know what you'll see or find. It certainly is a great place to practice my photography. And for my teacher Mrs. Wilusz...she is one of those cliche crazy art teachers you see in the movies, except she is the real deal. From her exotic jewelry and sweaters to her enticing art ideas, I'm very lucky to have her to expand my knowledge vastly in photography! Today, while practicing my photography, I came across these old boots as a still life for the underclassmen to sketch. I loved them! For one, the worn out tips and texture it had lured me in to just think of where they've been. But secondly, it reminded me of this famous painting by Van Gogh from 1885. I'm not sure what the title of the painting is, but it's just these old worn out boots (I believe he had another or many other paintings of worn out shoes/boots). Falling in love and inspired, I ended up taking pictures trying to capture the rough textures and worn out souls of these old rugged boots.
